Dr. Dasom Sophia Yu attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for undergraduate education where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry. Afterwards, she attended New York University College of Dentistry where she received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Following dental school, Dr. Yu completed one-year General Practice Residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, NY, where she received more in-depth training in all aspects of dentistry including restoratives, cosmetics, endodontics, oral surgery, pediatrics, and emergency care. Dr. Yu has been practicing general dentistry since 2016. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Francisco Dental Association. Dr. Yu was born in South Korea and is fluent in Korean.
Aside from her passion for dentistry, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family (husband and a puppy named Puppi) and friends. Her goal is to deliver pain-free high quality dental care with her gentle touch.
